 WELCOME TO THE NEW CHUDAH'S CORNER!
In 2008, Chudah's Corner celebrated 8 years on the internet. It started as a small Geocities site where I listed some of my favorite game music soundtracks. Eventually I expanded it, adding some reviews. I never expected people would actually enjoy what I was putting out there, and that they would want more. As the game music industry grew, and more and more people started taking notice, I purchased a domain and a hosting account, and Chudahs-Corner.com was born. As I joined forces with many great volunteers, we started to add more content to an official database, and kept a strong focus on translation and reviews. While Chudah's Corner was one of the first sites to focus on game music, others have come since, and have even far surpassed us in sheer volume. However we are proud of what we have achieved, always focusing on the quality and accuracy of our information. And we always had an eye toward the future.
As time has gone on, we have continued to seek ways to grow, and have actively asked our visitors to tell us what they would like to see. In recent months, the biggest request has been more interactivity, and to allow users to connect with other video game music enthusiasts in new meaningful ways. With that in mind, we are proud to premier our new and improved site! Chudah's Corner will remain a premier stop to find gaming music information, lyrics, and reviews. However we have now expanded, growing into a full-fledged community. In addition to our message boards, we now feature a social network which will allow users to open an account, create a profile page, share music, upload pictures, and much more. In addition, we have gotten a lot of requests for a way for our visitors to sell their soundtracks and video game wares without having to utilize eBay. We are happy to announce we have also implemented a full-featured, easy-to-use auction system for our users. Of course, you can see we have also re-designed the whole site, sticking with our original color scheme, developing an easier-to-use use interface, and focusing on making the site as as interactive and enjoyable as possible. We should note that we had initially planned to go with a different layout, however decided to incorporate this design to integrate more seamlessly with our new community software. We want to thank everyone for their encouragement and support over the years. We have enjoyed taking this ride with you all, and we hope you will be with us as we continue to grow. Below you'll find a breakdown of all of the new goodies around Chudah's Corner. Please note, however, that we are still in the process of converting our database to the new system. The top navigation buttons, as well as the inner content pages are still under construction. We hope everything will be up and running sometime next week. In the meantime, feel free to check out the new digs and enjoy! ~Chudah • The Community - It's the MySpace for the game music community. You can create pages, upload music and pictures, make friends, create and join groups, and much more. You wanted a way to connect to others and this is it. • Auctions - We now offer full-service auctions, with varying ways to list, buy-it-now, buyer/seller feedback, and more. The best part is that during our grand opening special, listing and selling is FREE! • Site Support - We have gotten a lot of requests from people for an easy way to report broken links, site problems, and other issues. Our site support gives our users a one-stop place to let us know of the issues around the site, to help us timely deal with them. • Site Redesign - We were told by many users they wanted to be able to get to the various parts of the site more easily. With that in mind, we have re-designed our home page, going with a cleaner layout. Graphical buttons help you quickly get to major sections. Newest additions to the database, as well as reviews, will be shown in the sidebar. As always, newest news will be displayed on the front page here as well. |
